Vintage and Modernity : VICTORINOX SWISS ARMY INFANTRY
Robust, vintage and more chocolate: the Infantry collection is once again expanding its range, with three new models for 2014 with PVD gold-treated 3N stainless steel cases and chocolate colored dials. These consist of three variations on a classic timepiece with true vintage flair.
Infantry draws its main design references from the universe of military watches. Since its debut it has remained faithful to its essential qualities: durability, ergonomics and at-a-glance readability. It proudly asserts its vintage inspirations, particularly the chocolate dial color and the retro design of the Arabic numerals. The latter, along with the indexes and hands, are coated with luminescent material.
Today Infantry is a new classic, an urban watch of timeless design as appealing to women as men. The fluid curve of the stainless steel case softens the look, but seen in profile, the shape is reminiscent of the famous Victorinox Swiss Army Knife blade. The novelty this year is its new yellow gold PVD coating, a first for the collection.
Infantry is available in three models: three hands and date with the Swiss-made Ronda 715 quartz movement; a self-winding mechanical version, driven by the Swiss-made ETA 2824-2 movement; and a chronograph version housing a Swiss-made Ronda 5030-D quartz movement.
